Each type has its pros and cons but ultimately the older and less attractive dividers do a better job and are sturdier.The biggest plus for the acrylic dividers? They are so visually appealing that you could use them on open shelves, perhaps in a kitchen. No need to hide them behind closed doors. But IF you are getting the acrylic ones, keep in mind that the plastic can attract dust, not a good thing for clothes or linens.
