This may be obvious to many, but note that these nicely finished and very compact rod flanges come in pairs so I got twice as many as I needed. I installed the flanges both in walls and in wood, but they are clearly designed to be installed only on wooden surfaces. The flanges have two pins at the rear and you need to drill holes to receive these.

The product description makes it very difficult to know how big this thing is. I needed to find something that would fit 1/2" conduit. The only size info on the product page was "32 mm" which translates to about 1.25". Unfortunately, the true size is not big enough for 1/2" conduit to fit into, costing me $8 (including shipping) and another week of waiting before I can complete my project. Boo!
