| 7 of 7 people found the following review helpful  Great for shirts, unsuited to heavier items, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Closet Complete Ultra Thin No Slip Velvet Suit Hangers, Camel, Set of 50 (Kitchen) These are okay for holding dress shirts, but don't try to use them to hold up anything heavier - sports jackets or heavy men's pants like corduroys or jeans. I've had them for a month and a large number of them (~10%) have come apart at the spot where the hook meets the rest of the hangar. The design just isn't robust - it looks like the hook is simply press-fit into the hangar rather than being held in place by something more durable.So if the hangar has something heavier than a shirt on it (a sports jacket, for example) and you then attempt to remove the item next to it from the closet, the combined force of the item's weight and friction with the adjacent item will cause the hanger to fail. My closets aren't particularly packed - it's just that these hangers can't seem to hold up to more than about 1-2 lbs of force before they fail. These were a cheap purchase so I'm not totally unhappy, but it seems pretty bad for the environment to be throwing out so many... Once they arrived I discovered how awesome they really are and ordered two more sets of 50! I now have so much more room in my closet! I was able to hang up sweaters that hadn't fit in my closet in years (which means more drawer space in my dresser)!! I have completely redone my closet with these hangers and plan to redo my teenage son's closet as well.
