I work overseas and live in dorm-style housing. I have this hanging over my locker door and use almost every hook for something - towel, lounge clothes, robe, jacket, etc. This is a very sturdy coat rack for just a piece of metal that hangs over the door. It seems like if anything is going to give out it will be the locker door first :-). Love this coat rack, it's a little pricier in terms of over the door racks but it's sturdy and NOT cheap looking. I also love how the ends of the hooks are a bit thicker so they don't hurt my coats (especially the leather). The double hooks ends are far enough apart so you can hang clothes on both ends without them being too bulky and without falling off.
