I bought the hard plastic one from Bed Bath and Beyond about 3 years ago to hang an organizer on it. It broke about 2 weeks ago. I imagine it was due to the weight of the additional purses. If I had known about the metal one, I would have bought it. I have about 20 purses in the organizer varying in size and weight. No problem for this item. Great value.

We had recently redone my daughter's room and it was at her suggestion that we find something to fit over her door for hanging up jackets and other light items. When the door hanger arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy it was. It definitely was a smart (and inexpensive) way to reduce some of her clothing "clutter"!
